COMIC RELIEF (the exorcist)

1. What is the comic relief?
Comic relief is the inclusion of a humorous character, scene, or witty dialogue in an otherwise serious work, often to relieve tension.

2. Why is it often used in horror films?
Because when the work enters a dramatic moment, in a drama often used the relieve tension.

3. Do you remember laughing in horror films? Can you think of an example?
No. And my exemples are William Shakespeare deviated from the classical tradition and used comic relief in Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, The Merchant of Venice and Romeo and Juliet.
